In 1894, Simeon Bishop Bell, MD, donated money and land to create the medical school’s first hospital in memory of his late wife, Eleanor.
More than a century later, the seed he planted has grown into The University of Kansas Health System.
To honor his foresight, the Bell Legacy Society was formed in 2004 to recognize those who have made estate gifts or other deferred donations to The University of Kansas Health System.
These gifts help ensure that patients will continue to receive world-class healthcare right here in Kansas City. As a member of the Bell Legacy Society, you will receive:
- Invitations to exclusive health system events
- Publications, including a digital subscription to Good Medicine Connection, highlighting health system discoveries and medical advances
- Recognition (you may also choose to remain anonymous)
Please consider continuing the legacy begun by Dr. Bell more than 100 years ago.
